Jake Paul's mansion was raided by FBI and heavily armed SWAT team as his mom speaks out

Another perspective has been revealed years later

Jake Paul has built a reputation for his outlandish and often boastful lifestyle as he's never afraid to splash the cash, yet that once left him in trouble with the FBI as a SWAT team descended on his mansion back in 2020.

Several years after he transitioned his focus from YouTube to boxing, stepping into the ring against huge names like Mike Tyson and even Anthony Joshua, Jake Paul was involved in an unexpected raid that left both him and his family positively shaken.

Having made a name for himself in the social media industry alongside competing in a number of blockbuster fights at that point, Paul purchased a lavish $8 million mansion in California.

This luxury home quickly became the target of an FBI raid in 2020 though, as officials made Paul and graffiti artist Arman Izadi targets as they received 'hundreds' of tips that the pair were involved in a riot.

As shared by SPORTbible, both Paul and Izadi were arrested at Scottsdale Fashion Square mall amid a riot that was linked to protests following the murder of George Floyd and wider police brutality, with the pair being charged with trespassing and unlawful assembly.

As part of this, the FBI and a SWAT team conducted a raid on Paul's mansion, where they were spotted confiscating numerous rifles following the search, although the charges against Paul and Izadi were dropped afterwards.

Now, as revealed by the Daily Mail, Jake Paul's own mother, Pam Stepnick, has revealed an unexpected new perspective in this tale, offering up her side of the story as part of her new book titled 'F*** the Pauls'.

She revealed that her 'ears rang' when she was informed of the news, noting: "I ran out my dermatologist appointment and sank to the floor in the building's stairwell. My heart was racing."

She immediately tried to 'get ahead' of things following a chaotic former controversy involving a Covid party hosted by Jake, informing her wider family and telling them "not to freak out" when the news became public.

"I knew my son had not done anything that merited the freaking FBI's attention, much less the whole country's attention," Stepnick continued. "The story was picked up in national publications. I was unraveling.

"I had always been the rock and the glue that holds out family together, but the FBI? This was bigger than anything we had ever experienced up until this point in our family's wild theory."

Stepnick continued to detail how she was in shock as she saw helicopters circling around Paul's home, recalling how FBI agents confiscated everything from video equipment to cell phones as part of the search.

"In the days following the raid, my family stared into the abyss, devastated, afraid, and deeply humbled [...] I was disgusted. In my heart, I knew there were no bad intentions on Jake's part."

Her faith in her son appeared to be well placed though, as her prediction that "this investigation will go nowhere" came true.

"There's nothing to find. And I was right," she proclaimed. "The charges were dropped. I was frustrated. It felt like another media grab.

"At a time when all eyes were on the internet, Jake's name meant more clicks. But this series of events caused Jake to take stock of his life. Finally, he had to course correct."
