It's apparently not just TikTok that's in the sights of Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson, as the famed content creator could soon have his mits on X.

Although Elon Musk doesn't look like he'll be letting go of the platform formerly known as Twitter anytime soon, a resurfaced deal might see MrBeast inherit the social media Goliath.

Not content with being the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, MrBeast continues to expand his empire.

As well as forays into food with Feastables and MrBeast Burger, he also took over Prime Video with the controversial Beast Games.

With his continued entrepreneurship and talk about entering into the world of politics, some are comparing him to Elon Musk.

The world's richest man is known for Tesla, SpaceX, heading up the Department of Government Efficiency, and owning X, but after OpenAI's Sam Altman offered to buy the platform, there are questions about who could take over next.

It's a running joke that Donaldson will 'inherit' Twitter in the wake of Elon Musk's death, with the YouTuber once being promised it during a 2022 exchange.

Of course, it’s not called Twitter anymore.

Even though Elon Musk plans on dying on Mars, he could be kicking the bucket a little sooner after he's stepped up to take part in a real-life “100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla” video. You might've seen those simulations where 100 Harry Potters have taken on 100 Kermit the Frogs, or 100 Principal Skinners have duked it out with 100 Superintendent Chalmers, but what about 100 men versus a single gorilla?

The internet became obsessed with the question when account @DreamChasnMike posed the question and suggested 100 men would win. He added: "Everybody just gotta be dedicated to the sh*t."

Given that MrBeast is known for videos like "100 Boys Vs 100 Girls For $500,000" and "100 Identical Twins Fight For $250,000", it didn't take long for people to start editing YouTube thumbnails for a fictional "100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla" video from Donaldson. This caught the attention of the man himself, who chimed in saying: "Need 100 men to test this, any volunteers?"

Things took an even more peculiar turn when Musk replied to MrBeast and said: "Sure, what’s the worst that could happen?"

We can think of many things that can go wrong with pitching 100 men against a gorilla, and there's also no stipulation on whether we're talking baby gorilla, Harambe, or King Kong.

After Dexerto reported on Musk volunteering as tribute, MrBeast shared it and concluded, "I might actually own this platform soon 😭🙏🏻," as he shared their 2022 exchange.

With Musk slashing X's worth since buying it in October 2022, facing a mass exodus of big names to Bluesky, and accused of turning it into a toxic wasteland by stripping back community guidelines, some n the comments cheered for MrBeast to take the reins, while others accused him of wishing death on Musk.

One supporter cheered: "If you happen to secure this platform, please let us post about science & public health again. Scientists on this app have been in a corner, soft shadow-banned & talking to ourselves, for the last 3 years. And then we wonder why male humans think they can fight a gorilla."

Another added: "You can't sick a gorilla on Musk, film it, monetize it, and take his platform... or can you?"

A third joked: "Just as a backup if you die under mysterious circumstances can then I have Twitter?"

While the logistics of getting 100 men to fight a gorilla sound highly illegal (let alone plausible), Musk being the richest man in the world means we wouldn't put this one past him.
