Elon Musk has come under fire for posting a politically charged message about Medicare, just hours after his ex made a public plea for him to get in touch over the health of one of their children. While Musk has fathered (potentially) 13 children, it's his relationship with Claire Boucher, aka Grimes, that continues to grab headlines.

Perhaps it's because the "Oblivion" artist recently spoke out about Elon Musk 'parading' their eldest son around the White House, or maybe because the chart-topper was also dragged into the whole debacle where he was accused of performing a 'Nazi salute'.

Musk has been pretty busy in his role as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, and while he originally admitted he wasn't sure it would be possible to make the $2 trillion cuts he once promised, he's wasted no time in trying to make them happen.

Despite concerns about the power that the DOGE wields, Musk gutted USAID after saying it was 'beyond repair'. He's now put Medicare and Social Security in his crosshairs.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference and sporting a pair of shades, Musk discussed waste and said: "I think that the rough estimate from the Government Accountability Office is over $500 billion a year. $500 billion. With a B. Per year."

Using a catch-all term, he referred to 'all entitlements', which encompasses the likes of Medicare and veteran benefits.

Sharing footage of himself at CPAC, Musk can be seen saying: "The actions that we're taking with the support of the President and the support of the agencies is what will save Medicare, what will save Social Security.

Saying he's looking at the 'big picture' and claiming that America's debt is getting out of control, the world's richest man continued: "A country is no different from a person. If a country overspends, a country goes bankrupt. Same with a person who overspends, goes bankrupt.

“So, it's not optional to solve these things, it's essential."

This all leads back to Grimes after the artist made a heart-breaking plea for her ex to get in touch. In a series of now-deleted messages, Boucher wrote: "Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.

"If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon."

Some claimed that Grimes had been shadowbanned by the X overlord, and while that's not been proven, she later confirmed she deleted the posts herself.

Grimes hasn't revealed which of their three children she was referring to, or what the 'medical crisis' is, but the timing isn’t great for Musk to launch a full-scale attack on Medicare.

There was an outpouring of support for Grimes, with one person appealing to Musk's mother and sister, writing: ".@mayemusk @ToscaMusk please help Elon address Grimes issue Understand its personal But will be used to hurt him. Needs a statement. Assume if it was real emergency she also contacted you guys."

Another added: "What is it like 3:00am where he is and his son might actually be dying and here he is tweeting 500 times in a few hours. Stuffy nose !?!?!?!?!?!?!"

Someone else concluded: "In a society with universal healthcare, Grimes wouldn’t have to openly beg her ex to materially assist with their child’s medical concerns. Just saying.”
