With the Euros finishing on Sunday in heartbreaking fashion, many Brits will be after a cold pint to ease their pain.

But a good old pint isn’t cheap. According to Hukins Hops, the price of a pint has surged by nearly 400% in the last 36 years, with a pint in 1987 costing a measly 92p.

The good news is a new app has just come on the market, which shows you the price of every pint in your local area. And it’s just been made available nationwide in all major UK cities.

Scott Davidson, co-founder of Pintly, took to TikTok to explain how to use the app (which is free to download) and it couldn’t be easier.

Simply enter in your location, and the homepage will show you all the pubs in your area.

You can then filter by what kind of pint you’re after, whether that be a Guinness or a San Miguel, and et voila. You’ll be able to see how much a pint is in all your surrounding pubs. You can also just filter by “cheapest first”.

Compare your options, or just head straight to the cheapest one.

‘What if the prices change?’ I hear you cry. Well, Pintly have reassured users that they update the prices regularly to keep them live and up to date.

Davidson’s launch video on Pintly’s TikTok account currently has 238.4k views, and the comments are absolutely loving the idea.

One commenter wrote: ‘What a fantastic app!’.

Another questioned: ‘This is mint, any chance they’ll be a feature for people to update their local pubs?’, Pintly reassured the user: ‘Hey mate, watch this space!! Very much on the cards 🍻💪’.

Countless comments were saying what a fantastic idea this was, with many asking for the initially London-based app to be brought out to other UK cities. Within two days of the first TikTok being posted, Pintly had listened to their customers and already expanded the app.

On Sunday, Scott Davidson posted another TikTok saying: ‘Ladies and gents, we’ve heard you, and Pintly is now nationwide in all major cities across the UK’.

People were buzzing at how quickly Pintly added these extra cities, with one commenter even asking ‘Any plans on adding other countries as well?’

Pintly responded explaining: ‘Dream would be to go international ! 🍻💪’.

The reviews on the app store have been stellar too, one user wrote: ‘Not only has this app saved me money, it’s also helped me and my mates discover hidden gems all over London.’

Sounds like big things could be coming for the brand-new app.
