We're sure there are legions of parents out there, shaking their heads and saying, "This is why you don't share your lives on the internet.” It comes as one airport employee has seemingly been fired over her TikTok posts.

There are plenty of important jobs out there that come with various levels of security and access, but instead of being some high-ranking government official or a secret agent, one Los Angeles Airport employee has found herself in trouble for inadvertently posing a potential security risk to the airport.

Many TikTok creators make whole channels dedicated to their work lives and 'day-in-the-life-of' content, but as should be a lesson for all of us, your employer might not look so kindly on your content creation.

In the aftermath of hospital workers being fired for 'dehumanizing' patients on TikTok, there's another tale of caution.

While working on the MAC makeup counter at LAX, Bry Marixx shared a behind-the-scenes look at her day as a manager. Seemingly without thinking of the consequences, her video opened pretty generally with a 4:15 a.m. coffee and getting the airport shuttle. It then became more questionable when she filmed herself going through TSA and arriving at her workstation.

Marixx's video gave specific timestamps for her daily schedule, cash drawer setup, TSA badge, and even conversations with customers. The video went viral for all the wrong reasons, leading to her being fired from her position.

One concerned comment read: "Her attempt at a casual tour ended up revealing confidential scheduling and security processes inside one of the nation's most active airports."

In a follow-up video, an emotional Marixx confirmed she was now unemployed, tearfully saying: "I love my job, and I would never do anything to put it at risk."

Explaining what happened, Marixx argued: "The company that I worked for, the airport, they did not ask me to take the videos down. They did not ask me to remove them. They didn't. They told me that I did not have to."

She reiterates that her original post was 'so innocent' and was simply her trying to give her followers some insight into her daily life without creating a security risk.

Although she claims her MAC management backed up her story and said there was no investigation or threat, it didn't save her neck despite her reaching out to HR.

Responding on TikTok, Marixx said: "Hey guys I’ll be coming out with a story time soon but just to make it clear MAC did not have a say in this decision. This was a decision made by the airport! I’m still in great standing with the MAC brand and am exploring other possible MAC opportunities. 💕"

While vowing to continue making her hair and makeup videos, Marixx concluded with a warning to others: "Let this be a lesson to you guys to confirm with the companies that you work for what you can post on social media and what you can't, because obviously you can see what can happen."
