Back in the early 1980s, underwater hotels weren't a thing.
Then, Jules' Undersea Lodge came about.
Previously, it was an ocean research lab until 1985 when it was transformed into an underwater hotel.

While Dubai is famous for its unique stays, this one sure meets the mark being the only one in America.
I mean, you have to scuba dive to get there.
YouTuber Ryan Trahan went to spend a night at the unique lodge, packing only his Lenovo Legion 7 laptop. He documented his time which has now amassed over 31 million views on YouTube.
Although he admitted to being 'claustrophobic in water', the journey was made a smooth one by Daniel, the scuba instructor, who escorted him to the hotel.

His room was quite the setup: a back-to-back shower and toilet, four beds (yep, one room sleeps four), a big window with deep ocean views, and a flat-screen TV.
Exploring further, Ryan discovered the kitchen/lounge area.
'I can't tell if this looks futuristic or post-apocalyptic. Either way, I'm excited,' he described pointing to the room behind him.
He then proceeds to make a coffee in a cute fish-themed cup claiming it his 'first cup of coffee underwater.'

Then, after sitting by the window for about 45 minutes and not spotting a single fish, Ryan popped in a DVD about the lodge’s history.
The introductory video covered how the lodge came to be and its marketing from back in the 80s.
Soon after, Daniel returned with a hot pepperoni pizza, delivered in a waterproof yellow box.

'I'm experiencing a lot of firsts right now,' Ryan said enjoying his Italian cuisine on the bed. 'I am thirty feet underwater right now. I'm not sure I know how I feel about that.' Lucky for him, the fish returned and he managed to see some aquatic life during his stay.
As night fell, Ryan decided it was gaming time. He booted up Subnautica on his laptop's Xbox Game Pass, which was quite a fitting game for his underwater setting.
And yes, the hotel even has Wi-Fi.
Then he goes on to play Minecraft, building his own version of the underwater lodge.

'It's 4 am, it's crazy how even down here in America's only underwater hotel, I still find a way to watch TikToks for 3 hours.'
He then left a message in his journal, amazed at his achievement for staying down there for 17 hours in total.
Would you stay here?
