A YouTuber encountered a mysterious cave north of Las Vegas but disappeared without a trace.

American hiker Kenny Veach, YouTube channel snakebitmgee, was an experienced outdoorsman with a love for hiking and the desert.

In November 2014, he had a strange encounter with a mysterious cave in the Sheep Mountain area, just north of Las Vegas.

Known as the 'M Cave,' the site had haunted Kenny since he first stumbled upon it.

The cave 'shaped like a perfect capital M' emitted intense vibrations that led Kenny to flee in fear.

"I have been in more caves than I can count. I play with rattlesnakes for fun. But this one particular cave was beyond anything I had ever encountered," Kenny explained.

Describing what he felt at the time, Kenny said: "I always enter every cave I find, but as I began to enter this particular cave, my whole body began to vibrate. The closer I got to the cave entrance, the worse the vibrating became.

"Suddenly I became very scared and high-tailed it out of there. That was one of the strangest things that ever happened to me."

Kenny ended up returning to the cave armed with a 9-millimeter handgun and a video camera, only to find that the cave had 'mysteriously vanished.'

He explored what was next to an abandoned mine shaft and stated that he was unable to find the cave on his second hike.

Sadly for Kenny, his third return to the cave would be his last.

On November 10, 2014, Kenny told his family he was heading out on a short overnight hike to the Sheep Mountain area, near the infamous Area 51.

A place famous for its predicted connection to UFOs and top-secret government experiments.

Eight days later, volunteers searching the Mojave Desert found his mobile phone near an abandoned mine shaft. It was the same shaft Kenny had pointed out in one of his videos during his search for the M Cave.

Red Rock Search & Rescue Commander Dave Cummings told News 3 at the time: “We found his cell phone close to a very vertical old mine shaft and we can’t find another trail.

“It doesn’t mean that he’s down the mine shaft, but we have tracked him as far as we can. We are having our other crews come in from the search areas.”

No other trace of Kenny was ever found.

Many are left speculating on what happened to Kenny. Was it murder? An accident? Or did he perhaps get too close to government operations?

Kenny’s girlfriend Sheryon shared her own theory in a heartfelt comment on his M Cave video.

She suggested that Kenny may have taken his own life as he left his phone behind at the cave entrance and didn’t bring his video camera, implying he had 'no intention of filming anything.'
