The holder of the world’s highest IQ has predicted that Bitcoin will reach an insane value by February 2026.

It looks like the New Year could already be off to an interesting - and lucrative - start after crypto predictions for this year have been made.

YoungHoon Kim holds the world record for IQ, with his intelligence quotient set at a whopping 276.

And he has shared his own insight in the world of Bitcoin, predicting that the coin will reach $276,000 by next month.

Many people have taken to social media to share their own reactions to this prediction, with one user writing on X, formerly Twitter: “The initial prediction was incorrect; it said it would rise in 2025, and now it has been postponed to 2026.”

Another said: “Wow, can’t believe I’m smarter than the world’s highest IQ holder.”

A third person commented: “iq means nothing in crypto.”

And a fourth added: “JUST IN: World's highest IQ holder once again pushes its price target back another month.”

In other Bitcoin news, people have just now discovered a website from 2010 which gave away a whopping $450,000 worth of Bitcoin completely ‘for free’, with one user taking to Reddit to share a screenshot of the website.

In the post, they wrote: “In 2010, the Bitcoin Faucet website gave away 5 bitcoins to every visitor who passed a captcha.”

Naturally, this missed opportunity caused a stir online, with one user taking to the comment section to reply: “Remind me in 100 days when I finally invent a time machine.”

Another joked: “Being 14 in 2010 and not knowing anything about bitcoin was my biggest financial mistake in life.”

A third person said: “Bitcoin wasn't created to make anyone rich. It was supposed to just be a way to perform transactions online without having to go through a bank. Ironic, then, how it's ended up being used almost entirely for personal enrichment instead of online transactions.”

And a fourth added: “Bitcoin is f***ing wild dude I could’ve spent like 5 bucks 15 years ago and I would’ve been a f***ing gazillionaire now.”

The crypto hit a major milestone in 2024, reaching a record of $100,000.

Since then, one expert has detailed his predictions for what could be in store for the future of Bitcoin.

Glen Goodman, who is the author of bestselling book The Crypto Trader, said: “I follow trends and by my calculations Bitcoin could be peaking at about $120,000 towards the end of January. This might well be a high point – as it then passes a theoretic red line that by my calculation goes above an expected trend. At this time, it may be time to sell.”
