CNN analyst Van Jones reveals ‘shocking’ message Charlie Kirk sent him a day before assassination

CNN analyst Van Jones has revealed the ‘shocking’ message that Charlie Kirk sent him just one day before his assassination.
Kirk lost his life earlier this month (September 10) after he was shot in the neck while on stage at Utah Valley University (UVU).
Kirk was addressing a 3,000-strong crowd as part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour when he was struck in the neck.
It was later confirmed that the political commentator had died as a result of his injuries and an FBI manhunt ensued.

22 year old Tyler Robinson was later arrested under suspicion of murder before making his first court appearance on Tuesday (September 16) via video link from Utah County Jail where he is currently being held, which is where he heard that prosecutors would be seeking the death penalty.
Now, Kirk’s funeral is currently underway at State Farm Stadium in Arizona where President Donald Trump is set to speak.
CNN analyst Jones shared a message he received from Kirk a day before he was killed, saying: “Hey Van, I mean it, I’d love to have you on my show to have a respectful conversation about crime and race.”
Jones said that he and Kirk had been ‘beefing hard’ in the week prior to the shooting.
Kirk had added in the message: “I would be a gentleman as I know you would be as well. We can disagree about the issues agreeably.”
Jones said: “Charlie Kirk and I were not friends. At all.”
He added that the message had ‘shocked’ him and was unsure whether to share it with the world, but decided that it was ‘important’ to release.
Jones went on to say: “In the past week and a half, just watching people talk about civil wars and censorship and all this stuff coming out of his death, I just thought it was important to let people know - don’t put that on Charlie Kirk.
“The last day of his life, he was reaching out to have not more censorship, [but] more conversation, more dialogue, with somebody who, honestly, was one of his adversaries - me.”
Kirk’s memorial is being live streamed for people around the world and is available to watch on Rumble, with the title: “Building A Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk.”
