Some people manage to get rich through outlandish legal challenges, yet one K-pop star could earn herself $4.5 quadrillion from her former employer in a bizarre new 'lawsuit', making her richer than Elon Musk.

The wealth of the world's richest people has grown significantly in recent years, as Elon Musk in particular has recently surpassed the $500 billion mark after dramatically increasing his net worth thanks to Trump's election victory.

While experts predict that it won't be long until he passes the trillion-dollar mark for the first time, he would still need to do that 1,000 times over to make it a quadrillion in total.

One of K-pop's most famous names might get there before him though – and all in one swift action – as 2NE1 vocalist Park Bom has seemingly launched a gargantuan lawsuit against her now-former employer YG Entertainment, if you go by a recent post on her Instagram.

As reported by UNILAD, Bom mysteriously posted a sheet of paper to her Instagram after she recently ceased all connections to 2NE1 despite the group reforming last year.

The paper appeared to list herself as a plaintiff in a lawsuit against Yang Hyun-suk, the co-founder of management company YG Entertainment, which looked after 2NE1, Blackpink, and a number of other big groups.

Shockingly, the accusations of 'fraud', 'embezzlement', and 'owed profits' collectively resulted in 64,272,000,000,000,000 won, which works out at roughly $4.5 quadrillion, listing the figure in the document as '100,200,300,400,600,700,100,000,34 '642,72e trillion won'.

This figure is not only around 25 times larger than South Korea's GDP – valued at 2.61 quadrillion won – but would make Park Bom the richest person in the world by an incredible margin. Compared to Elon Musk, for example, she would be roughly 9,890 times richer.

However, the post has since been deleted, and Bom's own agency, D-Nation, has issued a statement clarifying the situation surrounding the mystery lawsuit.

Taking to Instagram, D-Nation explained: "The settlement related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities has already been completed, and the complaint uploaded on social media has not been received."

They also added that Park Bom has "suspended all activities and is currently focusing on treatment and recovery. Our company will do its best to help the artist regain her health."

Of course, even a company as big as YG Entertainment would have struggled to pay even a fraction of the requested money if Bom had been successful in this phantom lawsuit, meaning that Elon Musk can rest easy either way knowing that his spot at the top is uncontested for now — at least from the K-pop star.
