A 19-year-old who is facing deportation has responded after Elon Musk made a ‘creepy’ statement about her in a now-deleted post.
Audrey Morris, who is originally from Los Angeles, California, is currently facing deportation in Denmark due to administrative issues with her visa.
But what she didn’t expect was the richest man in the world weighing in on her situation with a post published to his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter.
In the bizarre post, Musk suggested that there should be a visa exemption for being ‘hot’, as he wrote: “8 or above level hotness should get an exemption.”

In response, Morris spoke to the Daily Beast where she described the encounter as ‘crazy’.
She continued: “It’s definitely crazy. I wasn’t surprised [by Musk’s comment], I guess you could say, because from the beginning, the second that my case was kind of made public, it has been about appearances and because, ‘oh, she’s blonde and she’s white’.
“The thing he said in of itself wasn’t shocking to me, but coming from him... I was floored.”
The teen went on to say that she was disappointed the billionaire hadn’t focused on her academic achievements or that she had been raised in the country from childhood as that ‘could have been so helpful’ for her case.
Morris said: “[But] if this just at least brings it to the attention of anyone who cares, then I’m fine with being embarrassed a little bit. That’s okay.”
Many people took to the X comment section to share their own reactions to Musk’s post, with some slamming him as being ‘creepy’.
One user wrote: “You are such a creepy loser. Billions of dollars and still creepy.”

Another said: “Calm down old man.”
And a third person added: “You were 36 when she was born.”
Morris first moved to Denmark from the US when she was nine and remained on her mother’s visa as an ‘accompanying child’ until 2024.
However, after moving into high school dorms, the teenager discovered that the conditions of her visa meant she needed to live under the same roof as her mother.
While her family now have citizenship, Morris has been denied citizenship and spoke about the prospect of moving back to the US.
She said: “I have my grandparents and some friends in the USA. But Denmark is my home. I am as Danish as a foreigner can possibly be.”
She has now been granted a 10-year residency permit.
