The offices of Elon Musk in Paris are reportedly being raided by French prosecutors as part of an unexpected move by a cybercrime unit.

It's believed that Mr. Musk's X offices are part of the raid, with the world's richest man purchasing the social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) in October 2022.

As reported by Reuters, the Paris prosecutor's office has confirmed a search is underway as part of an investigation into Elon Musk's business venture, which it opened in January 2025.

It's believed that the investigation is focused on alleged algorithmic bias on X. At the time, the Paris prosecutor's office reiterated that the investigation was launched when a lawmaker alleged X's potentially biased algorithms had distorted the operation of an automated data processing system.
