Hacker group Anonymous post eerie statement about Trump following claims election results ‘didn’t add up’

The first rule of the internet is...don't mess with Anonymous.

Every time we hold an American election, it seems there are allegations of rigging and uncounted votes. Donald Trump and the Republican Party famously tried to overturn the 2020 election, but now that 'The Donald' is due to take another turn, Democrats are calling out 'missing' votes. With Trump currently boasting 301 electoral votes compared to Kamala Harris' 226, it wasn't quite the close-run race we were promised.

There are various theories on why the Democrats have performed so poorly, with reports that voter turnout was a paltry 61% compared to 2020's 68%. Still, hacker group Anonymous has crunched the number and thinks something isn't adding up - now taking power into its own hands and posting an 'eerie' message to the future POTUS.

The first rule of the internet is don't mess with Anonymous, because if anyone can break into your secrets, it's the underground group of hackers. From attacking YouTube with 2010's 'YouTube Porn Day' to waging war on Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal over WikiLeaks, it's an organization you want on your side.

Like it's own hacker Haiku, Anonymous simply wrote: "Trump is never quiet. Why so quiet now? Is he afraid people are on to him about...something? Time will tell."

We know there's a lot of interest in Trump's wheelings and dealings, with the 47th President of the United States having federal charges brought against him. As the first former US president to be criminally convicted, Trump was convicted for attempting to cover up a 'hush money' payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. He's also been charged for attempting to overturn the 2020 election but has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges accusing him of trying to obstruct the process.

Political experts say these cases and other civil cases are likely to 'go away,' with the President of the United States being in a unique position. Even if Trump were to face jail time, he could pardon himself - although this had never been legally tested.

As for Anonymous, the global group of hackers seemingly hints that it has some more dirt on Trump. Then again, he's likely a little quiet right now because he's trying to put plans in place for his return to the White House.

Trump has already referred to himself as 'dictator for the day' and promised mass deportations alongside an AI-led future. Anonymous has definitely put the cat among the pigeons, with users on X intrigued by what the hackers might be planning.

When someone said that Trump has been vocal on social media, Anonymous replied: "Dear stupid human, If you think that isn't an intern fumbling around with his social media accounts, then you're more of a sucker than you know. Get a f**king clue you god damn idiot, Anonymous."

Relishing in the idea that more trouble could be coming Trump's way, someone wrote: "Trump cheated. AND he’s going to be disqualified & sentenced to jail."

Another added, "Don’t mean to put my tinfoil hat on, but something does seem amiss and happening behind the scenes!," and a third joked, "I’m getting such a bad vibe…I don’t know how to explain…it’s anonymously weird."

Whether Anonymous has some grand scheme in the works for Donald Trump or it's just trying to scare him, consider us rightfully spooked by the threat.
