Anonymous claim they've identified the 'moment Elon Musk decided to quit politics'

The hacktivist group is always watching

Elon Musk's controversial place in American politics continues to divide, and although his designation as a 'special government employee' means he can only work 130 days of the year, he's used that time to make some sweeping changes.

Heading up the Department of Government Efficiency, Musk has been tasked with cutting $2 trillion from government spending.

As well as leading the DOGE, Elon Musk has also inserted himself into the Trump administration, attending cabinet meetings, being by the POTUS' side as he turned the White House into a Tesla showroom, and even going to meetings at the Pentagon.

It's not just the general public clapping back at Musk being involved with politics, as President Donald Trump apparently delivered an NSFW rant about him attending certain meetings.

Even without the 130-day deadline looming, there have been talks about Musk stepping away from the DOGE and quitting politics altogether.

The POTUS has denied that Musk is leaving politics behind, although Anonymous claims it's pinpointed when the world's richest man decided this new career path isn't for him.

The hacktivist group isn't a fan of the tech mogul, with both sides exchanging cross words on X. Anonymous has previously told people to rise up against Trump and Musk, while the latter has mocked the group.

Now, Anonymous is back to claim it knows when Musk decided to quit politics. He was brutally trolled during a Path of Exile 2 stream, with comments mocking his lack of social life, being told he's going to die alone, and a brutal takedown from a user called 'ELON_MUSK_IS_PATHETIC that said: "You ruined the country just like you ruined all your marriages."

Musk brushed off the situation and said, "There's a lot of r***rds in the chat," while refusing to end the chat function.

Still, many said it looked like he was going to cry.

Anonymous is reminding us of the incident, resharing its own previous post and adding: "This is the moment Musk decided to quit politics."

Others rushed to the replies to share their thoughts, with one warning: "Yah, his plan is now just full Technocracy. He can cripple the US anytime he wants, and will use that as a threat to the other factions fighting for control."

Another chimed in saying: "Trump: 'I prefer oligarchs that don't get bullied by children'

"But seriously, it was around this time that the fissures between Trump and Elon widened into cracks... Elon needs to get out before he's put out."

A third concluded: "TBF, he accomplished his goal: destroy all federal agencies that were investigating one of his companies."

The future of Musk's foray into politics might be hanging in the balance, but so are his other ventures. After one Tesla investor called for him to be fired, someone else said he's currently in a 'code red' situation.

Whether Anonymous is right or not, the comments show there are many who will be glad to see the back of him.
