A teacher has quit her job with a chilling warning to parents that technology is leaving their kids ‘unable to read’.
The former English teacher has gone viral after she posted a farewell video signifying the end of her career in teaching.
In the clip, Hannah warned: “A lot of kids don’t know how to read, they have had things read to them, these kids don’t care about making a difference in the world.

“They don’t care about how to write a resume or cover letter because ChatGPT will do it for them.
“We need to cut off technology from the kids until they go to college.”
The teacher later appeared in an interview on Fox & Friends where she explained that AI tools are making it increasingly difficult to teach.

When asked why she posted the video, Hannah explained: “I taught for three years, as I said in my video I wasn’t always a teacher, I started in digital marketing.
“I’ve been in the digital world for about five years now and throughout the three years, I’ve taught a digital arts class and English.”
Hannah went on to say: “With AI so accessible to children nowadays, it’s been challenging to have kids comprehend and critical think for themselves on certain things.
“I wanted to raise awareness and let people know how AI and technology is affecting their children these days.”

The former teacher said that kids she taught struggled to complete essay assignments due to their dependency on technology.

Hannah continued: “I know a lot of times in my classroom, I would ask them to write down a short response or five sentences to answer and it would be two and a half sentences and they would say, ‘I can’t think of anything else to say,’ ‘why do I have to answer in complete sentences?’.
“You get the point, a lot of times I would assign long-form essays and I know how children write, especially when they hand write things.

“In the beginning of the year, students would give me eloquent and thorough essays that normally wouldn’t come from them. I would run it through an AI generator and it would say 100% ChatGPT and I would speak to the student and they would say, ‘well, if I have to redo this, how much will it affect my grade? Can I take the zero?”
Hannah has issued a warning to parents that if students are continued to be allowed to use AI then they ‘will not do the work themselves’.
