Taylor Swift has been doing the media rounds as she promotes her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.
It marks Swift’s 12th album and first one since completing her record breaking Eras tour last year.
However, comments the singer made during an interview she had with BBC Radio 2 has got everyone talking, with many rushing to social media to share their own thoughts on the matter.
During the chat, Swift was asked if she would ever go to space and her response was as follows: “Never, why would I do that? There’s no reason to do that. I don’t want to do that ever... Omg no. No. It’s cold, it’s scary. I don’t know if I can come back down.

“If I go, no one will believe I went. It doesn’t matter if you go cause everyone thinks you didn’t go, or they have a weird take on it. I have no fascination.”
This comes just months after Katy Perry controversially embarked on an 11 minute mission to space with Blue Origin.
Alongside her was the likes of Lauren Sanchez, who is the wife of billionaire Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, and TV personality Gayle King.
People took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions to the interview, with one user writing: “Nah cuz shes right, you risk your life and half the world calls it cgi anyway.”

Another said: “Taylor out here avoiding space drama like it’s a messy group chat no one asked for.”
A third person commented: “Real cause wtf is gayle king doing in space !?”
And a fourth added: “Taylor refusing to go to space like: I’ve survived men, fame, and Scooter Braun. I’m not testing gravity.”
Perry embarked on the space flight earlier this year, with some people bizarrely accusing the star of faking the mission.

A star-studded crowd looked on at the launch site in Texas, which included the likes of Oprah, and reality stars Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, as Mission NS-31 took off.
After spending four minutes in space, the crew returned to Earth with the capsule door being opened by Bezos.
After returning to solid ground, King shared that Perry sang a rendition of Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ while the crew were up in space.

Perry went on to explain that while people were asking if she was going to sing one of her own songs such as ‘Firework’ or ‘Roar’, she said ‘it’s not about me, I wanted to talk about the world’.
