Elon Musk has called out critics of his $1 trillion salary in a wild earnings call.
The world's richest man has launched a furious attack against opposers to his proposed $1 trillion pay package at Tesla. The deal would reportedly give the Tesla CEO a much bigger slice of the electric car company in what would be the largest compensation package in corporate history.
During a recent earnings call about Tesla's plans for a 'robot army' and how much control his stock gives him over the company, Musk turned his frustration towards two proxy advisory firms that help shareholders decide how to vote at company meetings.
This outburst follows his earlier snap at a former employee who dared to criticise his massive pay deal on X.

ISS and Glass Lewis, the world's two largest advisory firms, have both recommended that Tesla investors vote against some or all of Musk's record-breaking proposed compensation.
In response, Musk described the advisory firms as 'corporate terrorists' who 'have no freaking clue' what they're doing.
He also suggested that these advisory firms could convince shareholders to oust him from Tesla entirely.

“My fundamental concern with regard to how much voting control I have at Tesla is, if I go ahead and build this enormous robot army, can I just be ousted at some point in the future?” he said, according to Wired. “If we build this robot army, do I have at least a strong influence over this robot army?”
In the meeting, he added: "I just don't feel comfortable building a robot army here and then being ousted because of some asinine recommendations from ISS and Glass Lewis.”
Under this proposed compensation deal, Musk's ownership of Tesla would jump from 13 percent to nearly 29 percent, giving him far more control as the company expands beyond electric vehicles into AI, robotaxis, and its Optimus humanoid robots.

Over 10 years, this package could potentially hand Musk up to $1 trillion, completely dwarfing his previous $56 billion deal from 2018.
That said, the deal's terms are conditioned on Tesla's performance.
Musk will only receive the payment if the electric car manufacturer delivers 20 million vehicles, deploys 1 million robotaxis in commercial service, delivers 1 million Optimus robots and reaches a company valuation of $8.5 trillion.
In other Musk news, he's been feuding with US politician Sean Duffy online. The conflict turned ugly when Musk used a homophobic slur, causing many social media users to slam him as 'childish' and call out the offensive language.
