When you're hiring someone to guide you down one of the world's most treacherous mountain roads, at the very least, you'd expect them to keep their full focus on the road.
Unfortunately, one traveller learned the hard way that sometimes you don't get what you pay for.
TikTok travel influencer @abdullahtravels found himself in a nightmare scenario while travelling down Fairy Mountain Road in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan region.
Reaching an altitude of around 3,300 metres (10,800 feet), the route is notorious for being one of the most dangerous roads on the planet.

The unpaved road is completely unmaintained with no guardrails to protect you, not to mention the potential for falling rocks.
The stomach-churning footage shows the road is barely wider than a Jeep Wrangler, so anything less than two hands on the wheel seems dangerous.
One wrong move and it’s a very long drop to the bottom.
But rather than giving the treacherous route his full attention, the driver seemed fully absorbed in his phone conversation.

Abdullah recorded his bold, multitasking driver, while the overlay text on TikTok read: "POV: Your driver is fighting for his relationship while he drives the most dangerous road in the world." It seems the content creator's driver was in the middle of a very heated argument with his girlfriend on the phone.
So while Abdullah was bracing himself for what was already going to be a terrifying journey, the added drama of a relationship crisis certainly made the situation much more stressful.

Safe to say, viewers couldn't believe what they were seeing, with reactions ranging from horror to dark humour about the whole situation.

"If you hear "I don't want to live without you"...brace for impact," one TikTok user wrote.
"So nice of him to drive you to heaven," another joked.
"You could probably see something just as beautiful in washington LOL without the stress of death," a third TikTok user suggested.
Someone else offered their explanation: "That’s a normal day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. People usually survive the trip and eventually beauty of fairy meadows lets you forget the trauma.

"If it’s any help, Pakistani drivers are one of the best in the world. They can drive anywhere and almost any vehicle!"
That might be reassuring to some degree, but it probably doesn't make you feel much better when you put your life in the hands of overly confident drivers.
