A major streamer has responded to the backlash he is facing after a clip of his dog ‘yelping’ on a live stream has gone viral.
Hasan Piker, who goes live on Twitch under the username HasanAbi, was broadcasting from his house with his dog Kaya lay in the background.
During the live stream, Kaya appeared to get restless and went to move away from where she was sitting.
In reaction, Piker said on the stream: “Kaya, please just f***ing go back, just stop. Jesus Christ, what are you doing? You’re being such a baby.”

The streamer appeared to reach for something off camera and immediately the dog yelped, returning to her spot.
When reading a comment from a viewer that said Piker was making the dog stressed, he added: “She is literally just so incredibly spoiled from my mom. No she doesn’t wanna come over here to see what’s up, she just wants to f***ing roam the house because she got to roam the house when I was gone and she needs to literally have the same structure regimented.”
Since then, Piker has been accused of using a shock collar to control his dog, with many taking to social media to react to the clip.
On X, formerly Twitter, one user wrote: “F*** you @hasanthehun. Shock collaring that innocent dog for no reason just cause he wants to walk around? That’s not a f***ing prop for your stream background that’s a living being. You’re a sick f***.”
Another said: “I always wondered how Hasan kept his dog behind him all stream. It’s because he’s been using a shock collar on a setting so high that his dog F***ING SCREAMS when he uses it.
“Using your dog as a prop to seem more friendly relatable and down to earth when in reality the dog isn’t sitting there of his own volition but stays there out of fear. I am beyond disgusted. F*** this man’s whole existence.”
And a third person added: “Na that dog is actually getting abused, no way around it. Not even tryna be extra. I feel bad for that dog, i have 2 dogs and would never ever f***ing even think about putting a shock collar on them.
“Hasan is a disgusting human.. XQC is diving deep into this NOW.”
Now, Piker has spoken out about the moment on his stream, sarcastically saying: “Yes I am incredibly abusive to the, not only best trained, but also the best behaving and most spoiled dog on the planet.”
He went on to add: “Yeah she yelped because she f***ing clipped herself on something when she was getting off the bed.”
