Lauren Sánchez might not just be for Bezos' eyes only for much longer as the Amazon founder is reportedly 'obsessed' with inserting his wife into the Bond franchise as a love interest.
Being the fourth richest man in the world certainly affords you plenty of opportunities, as Jeff Bezos has been able to enjoy life across his many mansions and several multi-million-dollar superyachts, and even have the city of Venice as your own private wedding venue.
His wife, Lauren Sánchez, has enjoyed these fruitful opportunities as a consequence of their recent marriage, and even booked herself a ticket to outer space during the recent controversial Blue Origin venture.
However, the former journalist might soon be gracing the silver screen in a fabulous new role thanks to Bezos' connections, as the billionaire is reportedly dead set on making Sánchez the next Bond girl once the revival is up and running.

Rob Shuter has revealed in his newsletter that one Hollywood insider believes Bezos to be 'obsessed' with the idea of Sánchez opposite the new James Bond, adding that "this isn't just a fantasy casting — Jeff wants her on screen, period."
Fortunately or unfortunately – depending on your outlook – Bezos technically has all the power he needs to enact this dream, as Amazon acquired MGM Studios for $8 billion in 2021.
Earlier this year Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson handed over creative control of the Bond franchise to Bezos for $1 billion, and while the pair remain onboard as co-owners, Jeff makes all the decisions.

Right now all plans for 'Bond 26' are in the early stages, with the only concrete information being that Dune and Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve is set to take the reigns.
There is still seemingly no progress when it comes to Daniel Craig's successor, so we could perhaps get news regarding the Bond girl before 007 himself is set in stone.

Sánchez's existing acting credits, which almost entirely amount to news reporter or TV anchor roles due to her career as a journalist, seemingly haven't inspired confidence in the eyes of some studio heads, as Shuter's report has revealed the opposition of one executive.

"She's not an actress," the studio exec bluntly stated, "but she's Jeff's muse, and when you spend $8 billion, you get what you want."
Some have speculated that this would likely cause some friction with Villeneuve if Sánchez doesn't fit his vision for the film, but if the two were to come to a showdown we all know who would emerge victorious every single time.
