One man ate his 'final meal' at a hotel that was built directly on an active volcano that could erupt at any moment.

The brave YouTuber documented his experience staying in a room that would give him a “front row seat to my impending death” if the volcano erupted but went on to say that if that happens, “I'm sure it will be beautiful”.

Isaiah Photo uploaded the video to his channel where he spent the night at Volcano House in Pāhoa, Hawaii.

In the clip, he casually explained: “Behind me is an active volcano, yes active, as in could erupt at any moment.

“This is Kīlauea, the most active volcano in the world, last erupting just two months ago, with its longest eruption lasting over 60 years long.”

He went on to reveal that in 2018, the volcano spewed lava at 26,000 gallons per second, which caused $230 billion in damages.

However, despite this, it seemed that someone still thought it was a good idea to stick a hotel right on it and Photo took his 10.4 million subscribers along with him to check the place out for himself.

He commented that “aside from the fact that this volcano could absolutely destroy anything in its path including me, this is actually a pretty beautiful hike”.

During his stay, the YouTuber reminded everyone of how dangerous the volcano is, remarking as he went out to dinner that it could well be his “final meal”.

Photo went on to say: “I decided that since this might be my very last meal that it better be my favorite food, pizza.

“All joking aside, the restaurant actually overlooks the volcano as well and I couldn’t help but think about how insane it would be to just be sitting here eating a delicious pizza and seeing lava spewing at high speeds.”

Luckily Photo survived the night and his viewers took to the YouTube comment section to share their reactions on the YouTuber’s terrifying hotel experience, with one user writing: “I'd be so scared to do that ngl bro is brave.”

Another user added: “Next Challenge: Tell your wife you're going to bungee jump into the Grand Canyon with a one-star company.”

However, not everyone was so easily impressed, with one person claiming: “Kilauea is a shield volcano, which is the least dangerous type of volcano. They have non-explosive eruptions and produce slow moving fluid lava. Easy to run away from.”
