Erika Kirk has made a major announcement regarding Charlie Kirk’s university tour following his assassination.

The widow of the political commentator who was killed last Wednesday (September 10) during an appearance at Utah Valley University (UVU) has spoken out since her husband’s death.

Speaking from Charlie’s podcast set, Erika spoke to the camera, saying that the ‘evildoers’ who are responsible for her husband’s death ‘should all know this: If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, and this world’.

The mother of two went on to reveal that Turning Point USA’s university campus tour will continue, along with Kirk’s radio and podcast show.

She said: “In a world filled with chaos, doubt and uncertainty, my husband’s voice will remain and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever.”

The tour will include an appearance at Utah State University, although it is not yet clear who will take Charlie’s place.

Following Charlie’s shooting, a manhunt was conducted by the FBI, which resulted in the arrest of 22 year old Tyler Robinson 33 hours later.

Robinson is due to appear in court for the first time today, where his appearance is expected to be done virtually from Utah County Jail where he is currently being held.

According to a report by KSL 5 TV, Utah Country prosecutors have said that they are working on filing formal charges against Robinson for Kirk’s death.

Greg Skordas, who is a legal analyst for KSL, said: “I would anticipate an aggravated murder count and maybe a couple of lesser counts. But the county attorney doesn’t have to make the decision as to whether they’re going to pursue that at this time.”

The expert went on to share that Robinson ‘probably won’t be released’ on bail ahead of his trial, adding: “I’m certain that with a death penalty potential case that he’ll be held on no bail.”

It is thought that during the hearing, there will be a discussion on who will represent Robinson going forward and whether he will receive a court-appointed lawyer.

According to the governor of Utah, Spencer Cox, Robinson is not cooperating with authorities.

Cox said: “He is not cooperating, but all the people around him were cooperating, and I think that’s very important.”

Kirk’s funeral is expected to take place on Sunday (September 21) at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, with President Donald Trump confirming that he will be in attendance.
