Influencer Candace Owens has made shocking claims that ‘threats were made’ to Charlie Kirk weeks before his death.
The right wing political commentator shared in a video that Kirk had allegedly been subject to an ‘intervention’ by Bill Ackman, who is a billionaire hedge fund manager.
She said this was because: “Charlie’s thoughts, Charlie’s rational thoughts about Israel were a ‘no no, this is not the route that you should be going on’, and Charlie was surrounded by his friends, his quote unquote friends, Bill Ackman was very upset and threats were made.”
Ackman has since taken to X, formerly Twitter, to deny the claims made by Owens.

In a post, he wrote: “This afternoon @RealCandaceO slandered me by accusing me of ‘staging an intervention’ with Charlie Kirk in which ‘threats were made’ with respect to his supposed ‘evolving stance’ on Israel at an event I hosted in the Hamptons. Candace also intimated that I ‘blackmail[ed]’ Charlie… For the record, at no time have I ever threatened Charlie Kirk, Turning Point or anyone associated with him. I have never blackmailed anyone, let alone Charlie Kirk. I have never offered Charlie or Turning Point any money in an attempt to influence Charlie’s opinion on anything.

“In fact, my interactions with Charlie Kirk have been extremely cordial, albeit limited, regretfully so, as I was very impressed by him and his work and I will sadly never see him again.”
Owens has since fired back in a tweet where she claimed that she was ‘clear that Charlie felt blackmailed by the offer to fund TPUSA, which he refused’, going on to argue that ‘no one said “Bill Ackman blackmailed Charlie Kirk”’.
In the livestream published to YouTube, Owens also claims Kirk was going through a 'spiritual journey' towards the end of his life. She shared a text from Kirk in which he quotes Kanye West's song 'Power', a text which Owens claims demonstrates Kirk's feelings about spirituality towards the end of his life.

Kirk was killed after being shot in the neck while on stage addressing a 3,000-strong crowd last Wednesday (September 10) at Utah Valley University (UVU).
The appearance was part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour and the political commentator was answering questions on various moral issues including gun control when he was struck in the neck.

Following Kirk’s shooting, a manhunt was conducted by the FBI, which resulted in the arrest of 22 year old Tyler Robinson 33 hours later.
Robinson is due to appear in court for the first time today, with his appearance expected to be done virtually from Utah County Jail where he is currently being held.
Kirk’s funeral is expected to take place on Sunday (September 21) at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, with President Donald Trump confirming that he will be in attendance.
