Fans can’t believe what phone Eminem still uses after rare photo captures him using it

When you think wealth, you probably think of people owning the latest and greatest.

For example, Pharrell Williams has been spotted driving - and attempted parking - the recently launched Tesla Cybertruck.

But many celebrities don't flaunt their wealth in front of everyone. Despite his fame, Adam Sandler for one still chooses to dress modestly. Whilst Jennifer Lawrence was recorded driving a Chevrolet car and a Volkswagen despite her rise to fame from the success of The Hunger Games.

Meanwhile, keen-eyed viewers have spotted an interesting vintage gadget in a photo tagging Eminem on Instagram.

The rapper, whose net worth is not short of $250 million, was captured typing on a very small phone keyboard on a picture uploaded onto DJWhooKid's Instagram.

DJWhooKid shared a post of the 'Lose Yourself' rapper using a BlackBerry phone, captioning: '... and by the way yes. He still has a blackberry phone.'

But it wasn't until the post, which racked up over 3,500 likes, was shared on Reddit that fans started sharing their thoughts.

The Blackberry device eventually grew out of fashion, like most tech products. Reportedly, in January 2022, BlackBerry's CEO confirmed that the infrastructure would be discontinued after being around for two decades.

Then, iPhones and Androids became the new products everyone wanted to get their hands on.

Some fans believe the joke is in line with his other long-running gag about his selfie-taking skills.

One user responded: 'I mean, blackberry phones don’t even work anymore so… I’m inclined to believe he’s running with the joke too. It’s his classic, dry style of humour.'

Another user posted: 'This is clearly a joke he runs with. Lol. And the technology thing is also a running joke. The guy is a global star who has traveled the world and back. And also produces/ mixes music etc. he knows how to take a selfie and use a phone/ computer. lol.'

Whereas, others took a playful take on the photo, writing: 'I loved my blackberry, I dont blame him. I hated my first android when I got it and still rolled with the bbm app for years.'

And other respected Eminem for his retro collection, with one fan commenting: 'Respect. I still have a PS2 and an ipod nano!'
