Tesla customers have been left stunned after uncovering the worrying truth about the electric vehicles that they have recently purchased.
Cybertruck owners have spoken out about the state of their vehicles after it was found that the motors have been left outside for months.
According to a report by Techoreon, one Tesla customer named Reza Solanti from Texas shared that he had ordered his truck on April 25 and received a notification immediately that it was ready to be picked up.

Solanti said that he was taken aback by the fast turnaround and when he questioned this, an employee at Tesla admitted that the car had actually left the factory on January 8.
This meant that the Cybertruck had been left outside in the elements for over four months.

In the end, Solanti decided to return the vehicle the same day due to concerns that having been left outside could lead to deterioration to things like the battery and the charge capacity.

Elon Musk’s Cybertruck has been plagued with issues since it was first released in 2023, with a recent problem for the company being a steering issue which led to the recall of 375,000 vehicles.
Sales have also plummeted since Musk took the center stage of government earlier this year as the head of the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which he has since taken a step back from.
His involvement in the Trump administration as an unelected official hasn’t proven to be too popular, with Tesla shares dropping by nearly 40% since January as a result.
Musk has since spoken out at the Qatar Economic Forum to reveal that he no longer plans to fund political campaigns, adding that he has ‘done enough’.

He went on to say: “In terms of political spending, I’m going to do a lot less in the future.”
Now, images have been captured of thousands of unsold Cybertrucks sitting outside Tesla factories.

That’s not to say Tesla isn’t trying to claw back customers, with the firm even offering up a lifetime of free charging if you purchase the Foundation Series Cybertruck for the price of $95,000.

The EV manufacturer has also announced a cheaper vehicle which costs approximately $70,000 and can be financed as low as 0%.
For any prospective Cybertruck owners, there are ways to verify how long your vehicle has been sitting waiting for a buyer.
Upon purchase, you can request documentation which shows when the car originally left the factory, so you’ll know how long it’s been exposed to the elements.
