Netflix users have become obsessed with a new crime drama that has been streamed for over 38.9 million hours.

The show has been given a ‘10/10’ from viewers who are binge-watching it in just a day.

The Netflix series is being hailed as ‘one of the best’ released at the minute, with figures from FlixPatrol reporting that the drama has been streamed for a whopping 38.9 million hours.

The drama in question is titled A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, which was adapted from Holly Jackson’s 2019 novel of the same name.

The mystery-thriller stars Emma Myers who plays Pippa Fitz-Amobi, a clever - although slightly obsessive - teen who reopens a five-year-old murder-suicide case for a school project.

The case involves Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies), a popular schoolgirl who vanished after an evening with her boyfriend Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni).

Police believe she had been murdered by Sal, who went on to kill himself afterwards.

But, believing the police got it wrong, Pip digs deeper, uncovering dark secrets in her hometown of Little Kilton - and finding herself in real danger as she skates closer to the truth.

It was first released on the BBC in the UK in July last year before joining Netflix for its worldwide premiere in August.

Better yet, the series was renewed for a second season in November 2024 - meaning it won't be another one-season Netflix casualty.

Fans rated it 68% on the review site, as one penned: “What a show! Binge-watched in a day. A murder mystery with a soul. Riveting plot. Incredible storyline. Keeps you hooked.”

A second wrote: “Emma Myers is great! It had us guessing until the end and hope they do more,” as a third agreed: “An absolutely stunning story that follows the book perfectly, the acting cast was perfect and on the dot. Absolute masterpiece!”

Some viewers have admitted that they devoured all six episodes in just one day - it was just that gripping.

The praise continued over on X, formerly Twitter, where one social media user admitted: “I fear I'm binge watching A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.

“I didn't even think I would like it this much but I'm on episode 4 out of 6.”

And a second typed: :Just binge watched A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and it was worth the watch, my girls who love plot twists, suspense and murder shows in general, check it out.”
