An ‘iconic’ film with an impressive 93% on Rotten Tomatoes is leaving Netflix soon.

You’ll have to act fast if you want to watch this movie on the streaming platform as it’ll be leaving in the next few weeks.

Starring Ryan Gosling, Drive was released to cinemas back in 2011.

The flick follows the story of a Hollywood stunt driver who also moonlights as a getaway driver for criminals.

The film was described by Access Hollywood as ‘a brilliant work of art that’s bold, daring and unpredictable’, and its star-studded cast also includes Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac.

Drive was based on a 2005 novel with the same name and the film was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn.

At the time of its release, it was a huge success at the box office, grossing a whopping $81.4 million after being made with a modest budget of $15 million.

Drive collected multiple awards upon release including a Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Action Movie.

However, if you want to watch the film on Netflix you’ll need to be quick as it is due to leave the streaming platform this month.

It boasts an incredible 93% on Rotten Tomatoes with top critics describing the movie as a ‘riveting watch’.

Other critics shared their thoughts on the film, with one writing: “Even when the screen goes berserk - a face splintering under a stamping heel, a master-crook attacking a defenceless colleague's features with a knife and fork - director Refn doesn't blink or expect us to.”

Another said: “Drive is pedal-to-the-metal stuff. Don't get behind the wheel unless you can take the rush.”

A third commented: “The pace of this film is a beautiful thing to behold, as Drive is a patient but taut thriller.”

And a fourth added: “It is a volatile situation, and Refn plays that off the minimalist storyline, stripped-down dialog, retro electronic soundtrack, and cool compositions.”

According to a review by IGN, the movie is one that is not to be missed, writing: “A classic tale of revenge, love and madness is given a refreshing polish and shine by director Nicolas Winding Refn. Drive is one of the year’s very best.”

Meanwhile, Little White Lies wrote: “By no means perfect, although it’s hard to process the flaws while your insides are singing and you can’t catch your breath.”

So, if you want to have a watch for yourself you’ll have to act fast to catch it on Netflix.
