Netflix fans spot 'real reason' 50 Cent decided to interview with ABC amid shocking Diddy doc

It appears to have been a strategic move

Fans believe they've worked out the reason why rapper 50 Cent gave an interview with ABC after his involvement in the shocking Netflix Diddy documentary, as it was more than just publicity.

Beef is certainly not a rarity in the rap world, as some of the genre's greatest ever songs have spawned from two people's hatred of each other, with these feuds often escalating into the real world.

One of the most famous rivalries in the last few decades has been between Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Sean "Diddy" Combs, who were both among the music industry's biggest names in the 90s and 2000s.

While its peaks have seen 50 Cent accuse Diddy of being involved in the famous murder of Tupac Shakur, many consider it to be a largely one-sided beef, with Jackson throwing most of the punches.

50 has dissed Diddy on multiple tracks, clashed with the rapper over one of his close associates, and repeatedly thrown insults towards his direction, and it appears as if he's made no secret of his own enjoyment when it comes to Combs' recent downfall.

Diddy was sentenced to just over four years in prison after he was convicted on prostitution-related charges, with Netflix taking advantage of the major case by filming a shocking documentary series titled 'Sean Combs: The Reckoning', and Jackson served as executive producer.

As shared by the International Business Times, many believe that 50 Cent's recent appearance on ABC's Good Morning America, where he was on the receiving end of an interview about the production, has a deeper meaning than you might think.

Taking a proverbial 'victory lap' following the release of the documentary, people on social media have speculated that Jackson's decision to appear on ABC is because it's one of the few TV stations that's permitted to be shown in prison, meaning that Combs would have the chance to see it.

Of course, the prison where Combs is currently being held is a little different to your average penitentiary, as he shares it with a number of other wealthy criminals – including one who is seemingly fishing for a Trump-sized pardon – and there might be additional privileges that come with that.

Appearing on ABC means that, regardless of the specific prison rules, there's a very strong chance that the interview will make its way onto a screen near Combs, allowing Jackson to 'gloat' in his face beyond the bars.

"50 is a grandmaster level hater," writes one reply to speculation on X, adding that "there's petty, and then there's 50."

Another added that "the ultimate hater is really 50 Cent. The guy is hating at his maximum potential, it's exciting."

50 Cent did recently reveal on his Instagram that he received an absurd gift from Diddy after the documentary aired, as shared by the Tab, with his arch rival 'celebrating' the series with a bouquet of flowers.
