One YouTuber has managed to delve deep into a massive 'dystopian' residential building in China that homes over 30,000 people, and reveals the reason why nobody there has any need to ever leave.

Having everything you need to live within close proximity to your home is a dream to many, as it can save so much time and add so much convenience to your life so you can focus of what you actually want to do with your time.

One 675 feet (205 meter) tall residential block in China has taken that to the extreme though, building almost everything you'd ever need alongside its apartments in what can either be called dystopian or utopian depending on your outlook.

Known as the Regent International in Hangzhou, this particular apartment block is like no other as it almost functions as its own 'mini city' with food courts, supermarkets, gyms, salons, and many other services built alongside the housing.

Around 30,000 people currently live in this particular apartment complex at the heart of Qianjiang Century City, and one YouTuber has managed to have a look inside to show what it's really like.

Shared by NAEEM EXPLORER, the creator reveals the surprisingly spacious apartments that make up the interior of the Regent International building, packed out with luxurious furnishings that wouldn't look out of place in a five-star hotel.

Of course, not every apartment is the same size, and there are some that are as big as a standard studio for residents who either don't need or can't afford anything bigger, but it's surprisingly cheap to rent too.

According to the creator, rents for an apartment inside the Regent International block start at around $209 per month, although it's unclear what some of the more expensive lots with stunning balconies would set you back.

If you did manage to nab one with a great view then you'd be able to enjoy your morning coffee while looking over the serene Qianjiang skyline, and observe the many other sky-high glass buildings that have cropped up around your home.

While the prospect of getting to know 30,000 neighbors is enough to send even the friendliest homeowner into a frenzy, the fact that pretty much everything you need is anywhere between a few steps and a few floors away would probably help you get familiar with your surroundings fairly quickly.

Additionally, there's a subway station right by the entrance to the building, meaning that you can get to and from your job or anywhere you need to go in the event that you did ever need to go anywhere else.

Some people have expressed their fears regarding power outages and natural disasters that might disproportionately affect a building like this, whereas others have expressed their desire to live somewhere like this in the future.

"Humans aren't meant to be separated from nature on such a scale," argues one commenter, whereas another wrote that "this actually looks really fun," adding that it's "like how you have everything you need on a cruise ship."
