A man was hit by a car as he was getting a haircut in the middle of the road for a TikTok trend, leaving him seriously injured.
On September 27, an 18-year-old in Florida was struck by a truck, per Click Orlando, while he had been sitting in the median with his friends on Southwest College Road.
At the time, they had been taking it in turns giving each other haircuts when a truck and SUV collided with one another, before hitting the median.
The man was left needed to be hospitalized, as his friends revealed their version of the events.

In a video posted to Instagram by a bystander showed the two uninjured men as they recounted the ordeal, as one of the pair held onto a foldable chair on the sidewalk.
The man on the left stated he had been cutting his friend’s hair and facing the other direction when he heard a collision behind him.

“I remember just hearing a whole bunch of cars, the tyres screeching and s***. Soon as I looked back, the car hit,” he said.
“Next thing you know, I’m on the ground. We’re pancakes and flapjacks, flying,” the other added. “I came over to sit down after the crash, and I saw my friend lying on the street. They took him, but they won’t tell us anything else other than the hospital he’s at.”
According to Click Orlando, the Ocala Police have not disclosed the cause of the crash but revealed that none of the men involved in filming the video are facing criminal charges.
The man who filmed the two friends went on to tell Click Orlando of the scene.
“I got goosebumps and I got them again. I get it every time I talk about it because it’s, being a content creator, I don’t want to sound hypocritical because I’m in some crazy places, but I’m not putting myself out there,” Lerom said. “My thing was, young kids, something needs to be done. These accounts that are doing that need to be banned. They shouldn’t even be seeing these videos.”
"I pray for the kid who got hit and his family," he said, per Fox 35.
He added: "Don't put your life or anybody's life at risk for the likes. It's not worth it.”
“This road is very, very busy and definitely not the place. It’s common sense, but some people don’t gain common sense till later in life,” a police spokesperson warned, per Dexerto. “Don’t put your life or anybody’s life at risk for the likes. It’s not worth it.”
Another witness, per Fox, said the person shooting the video for TikTok appeared shaken after the crash and revealed the group were initially going to record the video in the roadway before deciding on the median because they believed it would be safer for them.
"I don't think he realized the severity of it at first,” he said.
