See, this is why you pay your taxes. Nick "Lacy" Fosco might be a big name on the Twitch scene, but that doesn't mean he can escape the wrath of the IRS. Known as part of the in-your-face FaZe Clan, FaZe Lacy has been slowly building his following since he first started playing Fortnite on Twitch back in 2020.

Still, with 1.1 million followers on the platform and an increasing subscriber count, he's a popular streamer who regularly makes it into Twitch's 'most watched' charts. It's possible to carve out a good wedge of money when you're this popular in terms of streaming, although it seems Fosco has forgotten that you have to pay taxes on those earnings.

During a recent stream, Lacy is nearly brought to tears when he realizes the IRS has taken a cool $550,000 off him for tax purposes.

Crying out to his viewers, Lacy said: "I'm sick to my stomach. I open my bank account, and I don't check my bank app a lot because I don't like to just track the number of how much money I have, and I look at my transactions, and all I see is - $550,000 IRS."

If you're not opening your bank account often and can afford not to notice over half a million going missing, you're probably in a boat that most would be envious of. Still, Lacy continued appealing for sympathy: "When I tell you guys I almost broke into tears. My heart sank into my stomach. I genuinely feel sick. Could you imagine waking up and losing over half a million dollars?"

Instead of finding support from the internet, Lacy was ruthlessly trolled. Many said it wasn't too late to delete the post, calling it out as 'embarrassing'.

One critic wrote: "Ouch, Lacy! That's the price of success, but don't cry over spilled tax dollars. Maybe it’s time to invest in some serious tax planning for next tax year."

Others said, "Pay your taxes you will be fine," and, "Has millions cries about a half lol. Bruh we lose almost half our check every 2 weeks."

Some complained that's what he gets for living in California, while someone else concluded: "Should’ve bought me a GT3 RS and used it as a write-off smh…."

Namely, most said that if you owe $550,000 in tax, you must be earning a pretty penny from streaming.

Lacy could be in luck, as President Donald Trump has hinted that America could return to the pre-income tax boom of 1870-1913. Speaking at the 2025 Republican Issues Conference at the Trump National Doral Miami, the POTUS cheered: "America's gonna be very rich again and it's gonna happen very quickly. It's time for the United States to return to the system that made us richer and more powerful than ever before."

The President suggested that a tariff system is the way forward and told a clapping crowd: "As I said in my speech last week, instead of taxing our citizens to enrich foreign nations we should be tariffing and taxing foreign nations to enrich our citizens. Does that make sense? Right?”

Sadly for Lacy, that won't bring back his lost fortune anytime soon.
