ChatGPT has been accused of fuelling an influencer’s violent stalking of 11 women as he now faces a lengthy prison sentence.

The man from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, stalked at least 11 women across over five states and used the AI bot as a ‘therapist’, according to federal prosecutors.

31-year-old Brett Michael Dadig, who is a social media influencer, made threats to strangle people with his bare hands and now he has been charged with multiple counts of interstate stalking and making threats.

This is according to an indictment filed in a Pittsburgh federal court on Tuesday (December 2).

Dadig reportedly spoke to the authorities to claim that ChatGPT encouraged him to continue with his podcast.

He said the AI bot told him to ignore the ‘haters’ who were actually ‘sharpening’ him while helping him to build ‘a voice in you that can’t be ignored’.

In the indictment, it claims that Dadig used the responses from ChatGPT as confirmation of ‘God’s plan’.

On his podcast, he would regularly describe women as ‘trash’, ‘b*****s’, and ‘c***s’, according to allegations.

It is alleged that in one podcast, Dadig ranted: “It’s the same from f***ing 18 to f***ing 40 to f***ing 90… Every b**** is the same… You’re all f***ing c***s. Every last one of you, you’re c***s. You have no self-respect. You don’t value anyone’s time. You don’t do anything… I’m f***ing sick of these f***ing sluts. I’m done.”

In the indictment, it states at least 11 instances of harassment and cyberstalking.

In one incident, Dadig allegedly threatened to break a woman’s jaw and ‘every motherf***ing finger on both hands’, going on to tell her to ‘type the hate message with your f***ing toes, b****’.

Despite the fact that the influencer was banned from various gyms, he allegedly used different aliases to regain access to them, where he would allegedly harass women.

Boasting about this online, Dadig said: “Aliases stay rotating, moves stay evolving.”

Several of his victims obtained restraining orders against the influencer, although according to prosecutors, he violated the terms of the orders on several occasions and even stated in podcast episodes that he had been ‘falsely accused’.

Prosecutors have also highlighted an interstate pursuit where, in Florida Dadig allegedly followed a woman from a gym back to her apartment for around two miles and then later tagged himself online as being at a hotel located less than a mile from where she worked.

They claim that this type of behavior underscores the systematic and escalating nature of his conduct.
