A fascinating apartment building that is made up of different cafes looks like something straight out of Fallout Shelter.

The unusual building is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and attracts visitors due to its unique look.

Known as the Cafe Apartment, each space is made up of different outlets including cafes, bars, co-working spaces, boutiques and restaurants.

Customers can browse the different options on each floor, exploring the building that dates back to the mid-20th century.

It was previously known to house government and military personnel, as well as US advisors and naval officers, and initially served as dormitories for them.

Later, it began a base for shipyard workers to sleep and it wasn’t until the 2010s that the building started to take shape as it is known today.

Since then, the different cafe apartments have become widely loved and it has now turned into a cultural phenomenon.

Once an old residential house, the nine-storey building is now home to some quirky cafes and can be found in downtown Saigon.

Each spot seems to try to stand out as much as possible, leading to bright LED signs that hang on display in front of the apartments’ balconies.

These have naturally caught the eye of people on social media, leading the building to go viral.

On Reddit, one user posted a photo of the apartments, prompting others to comment on it.

A third person wrote: “These are so cute and creative! Now I want to recreate this on Sims or something.”

Remarking on the different cafes all clustered together, a fourth commented: “Talk about competition.”

A fifth said: “Reminds me of SimTower.”

And a sixth user added: “I feel sympathy for the residents of the 10 apartments that are being constantly harassed by their neighbors to display a little more ‘flair’.”

Over on another thread, one user said: “I slept there last night. There's a really cool homestay on the 6th floor. It's not bad for 38 bucks.”

Another described the place as looking like something out of the Walking Dead.

And a third person wrote: “At night time it lights up like a Christmas tree. It’s very beautiful and everybody loves to take photos.”
