Isaac Newton predicted when the world is going to end and we haven’t got long left

Isaac Newton predicted when the world is going to end and we haven’t got long left

The scientist predicted the exact year of an apocalypse.

Sir Isaac Newton, the brilliant scientist and mathematician also predicted when the world was going to end.

And it's sooner than you might think - within this millennium.

Besides his fame for creating the basic laws of physics and inventing calculus, Newton was also lesser known for some of his stories like threatening to burn his mother's house down, and predicting the end of the world.

Back in 1704, Newton theorised on pieces of paper when the world was going to come to an end.

Surprisingly, the mathematician is also remembered for documenting his work on pieces of paper that would always get lost. Fortunately, his piece on the apocalypse managed to stay preserved for hundreds of years later.

He predicted that the year 2060 would see the end of the world. But, how did he reach this speculation?

Well, Newton always had a keen interest in something called the biblical apocalypse - an event mentioned in the Book of Daniel.

The Book of Daniel is the oldest testament in Christianity and expresses seven points that justify why the world will end in 2060, taking readers from the 'very first steps of humanity' to the biblical apocalypse.

'Newton was convinced that Christ would return around this date and establish a global Kingdom of peace. Babylon' (the corrupt Trinitarian Church) would also fall and the true Gospel would be preached openly,' said Stephen D. Snobelen, professor of the history of science and technology at the University of King's College.

Explaining Newton's theory, the curator of History of Yesterday, Andrei Tapalaga, said that the world's end would come '1,260 years after the Holy Roman Empire was formed, which was founded in the year 800. So this would lead to Earth's downfall in 2060.'

Just to be clear, by the end of the world, Newton didn't necessarily mean a tragic end to all humanity, as much as the end of an era. So, no need to start prepping the doomsday bunkers just yet!

Tapalaga continued: 'The 'end of the world' that Newton is referring to in this theory based on the Book of Daniel is that this will be when Jesus will come back and bring peace to this world by being the ruler for a whole millennium.

'Jesus would burn all of those that have corrupted Christianity for their own personal gain and teach us all to live in harmony. Those that oppose him will face his wrath and those who embrace him will face his love.'
