A woman who was declared dead after a stroke reveals exactly what she witnessed before being revived.
For almost everyone on Earth, death marks the end. As the brain loses its blood and oxygen supply, the body shuts down and death is pretty inevitable.
Research shows that the brain continues to function for a brief window after the body dies. During this time, people may hear disturbing sounds or experience their entire life replaying.
However, in exceptional cases, people have managed to 'come back' from this edge and find their way back to life.
After being resuscitated following two strokes in December 2021, one woman has opened up about what she saw before doctors saved her life.

Psychic medium Amber Cavanagh was just 40 years old when she had the life-changing strokes.
Doctors asked her family to prepare for the worst, telling them to 'come and say goodbye' as they warned she was 'more than likely' not going to survive the helicopter journey to a nearby hospital.
"I was very, very near to death, and even my kids had to come and say goodbye," Amber told Tyla. "It's like you're trapped. I could understand everything everyone was saying, but I couldn't speak."
Amber also told The Other Side NDE on YouTube that she remembered seeing a 'beautiful garden' in the afterlife.
"I could see my husband, I could see my body, but I didn’t have a lot of attachment to my body. It was like I closed my eyes and opened them in this beautiful garden," she explained. "The grass and the water was like nothing I have ever felt in my life. I think I wasted more time feeling my feet in the grass than actually making this decision to come back."
The Canadian woman added: "I knew I was there to make a decision and nobody was going to make it for me."

According to Amber, she saw a 'glow' from the 'light of god', adding that she wasn't alone when she 'died'.
"My guides, who I had gotten to know very well, were there on a bench," she continued.
The now 44-year-old also said her husband and children were there, though Amber didn't speak to them.
"I saw a couple of my animals that had passed, and I saw one that hadn't passed. But she would pass before I got out of the hospital," Amber recalled. Her mother-in-law also appeared to her before the guides presented the question of whether to stay there or return to her life in the physical world.
Revealing her decision, Amber told Tyla: "I finally made the decision that I want to come back. And as just as quick as I went there," she said, speaking of this beautiful 'meeting place', "I wasn't there."
The following weeks saw Amber remain in hospital, where healthcare professionals believed she'd need full-time care for the rest of her life. But Amber, who became known as the 'miracle patient,' proved them wrong. Not only did she survive, but she also made a full recovery.
