President Donald Trump is once again going viral for his sound bites, this time for dragging a 'businessman friend' who is apparently taking weight loss injections. Despite continued concerns about the so-called skinny jabs, there's no escaping the fact that semaglutide anti-diabetic drugs are an effective way of managing weight loss.
A number of big names have admitted to taking the likes of Ozempic and Wegovy, while others have implied they're on skinny jabs, and the media continues to speculate about others.
There are many pros and cons of these drugs, with some studies suggesting they can reverse the signs of chronic liver disease and others linking them to mental health issues. For all these reasons and more, we've seen the World Health Organization keep its distance from semaglutides, although it recently seemed to make a U-turn and suggest that they'll soon be more readily available.

This could be pushed forward by President Donald Trump, as the POTUS has just signed an executive order demanding that big pharma slash its prices.
Shortly before heading to Saudi Arabia, Trump signed the executive order that he said is "one of the most consequential" in US history. Giving drug companies just 30 days to lower their prices, he warned that those who don't comply will face harsher consequences. Spurred on by the price of drugs in other countries, Trump claimed that those in the US will fall "almost immediately, by 30% to 80%."
While that all sounds well and good for those who are angry about how big pharma lines its pockets, the Commander-in-Chief was apparently inspired by a bizarre tale of Ozempic and a 'businessman friend'.

In a typically hilarious exchange, Trump told the press about a supposed 'friend' who phoned him from London and was amazed by the pricing of "the fat shot drug" (Trump's words) in the UK. The somewhat scathing takedown saw Trump describe the 'top guy' as "a highly neurotic, brilliant businessman" who is "seriously overweight."
Recounting the businessman's tale in the Rossevelt Room, Trump explained how the man said, "I'm in London, and I just paid for this damn fat drug I take." Trump joked, "It's not working," before the man continued: "I just paid $88 and in New York I paid $1,300. What the hell is going on?"
After checking the box, they said it was made in the same plant by the same company, meaning there's quite a price difference.

With Trump saying, "Most of you would've heard of him" and how he's 'very rich' there's been some wild speculation about who the mystery man is. Given that Elon Musk has openly admitted to taking semaglutide, the internet has exploded with theories that it's him. One person chuckled: "This is 10000% about Elon."
Another added: "Elon publicly said in like December that he’s using Mounjaro, but referring to him as 'seriously overweight' would be hilarious."

The final hilarious moment came when someone asked Musk's Grok chatbot who it could be, prompting this answer: "Trump likely referred to Elon Musk, who has admitted to using weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and fits the description of a 'brilliant businessman'.
"However, there's no evidence Musk complained about the drug's price, adding uncertainty. Some speculate Trump meant himself, but he has denied using such drugs, making this less likely. The identity remains unconfirmed."
