Senator Elizabeth Warren has issued a blunt public statement online calling out MrBeast.
The politician has announced that she has ‘questions’ for the YouTuber after publishing posts on social media.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Warren said: “I have questions for MrBeast.”
In the caption of her photo, she followed the statement up with some context which read: “Elizabeth Warren on Beast Industries purchasing kid banking app Step.”

This comes after it was revealed that MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, had bought a fintech app known as Step, which is designed for teens to manage their money, learn about finance and build credit.
This isn’t the first time Warren has addressed the acquisition by Donaldson’s business empire Beast Industries as she previously wrote a public letter to the YouTuber where she raised concerns about the move, particularly on child safety.
In the letter, she wrote: “Despite Step’s careful claims that crypto investing by minors was only with the permission of a parent or guardian, Step published resources encouraging kids to pressure their parents into crypto investments.
“Step, for example, produced a video titled ‘How to Talk to Your Parents About Investing in Crypto,’ which was targeted at kids whose parents ‘want nothing to do with crypto,’.... The video coaches children on how to convince their parents to let them make investments their parents may not want and includes specific scripts for children to use while talking to their parents.”
At the time of the acquisition, Beast Industries CEO Jeff Housenbold said: “Financial health is fundamental to overall wellbeing, yet too many people lack access to the tools and knowledge they need to build financial security.

“This acquisition positions us to meet our audiences where they are, with practical, technology-driven solutions that can transform their financial futures for the better.”
Many people have reacted to Warren’s posts on social media, taking to the comment sections to share their own thoughts on the matter, with one user writing on Instagram: “If he did nothing wrong the hearing is just standard procedure....otherwise, if he's deliberately did something then he will have to be accountable.”
Another said: “Oh, I'm looking forward to that guy losing his fake smile with every question.”
A third person commented: “Why? He's too successful? I know the whole thought that he may be pitching crypto to kids but I have not seen that yet. Go after the real villains. At least Jimmy helps people. It may be for the clicks or whatever but so many other successful YouTubers don't do anything for anyone but themselves.”
And a fourth added: “Been looking forward to his downfall for a long time.”
