Elon Musk could be set to become the first trillionaire in the world if he ‘unleashes his army of robots’.
This all depends on whether or not shareholders of Tesla decide to approve a new pay package for the tech mogul that has just been put forward by the firm’s board.
However, if Musk has any hope of getting the payrise, he’ll first need to hit some particular milestones.
This includes producing a whopping one million robotaxis along with a million humanoid robots.

The move is set to increase the value of the EV manufacturing company by trillions of dollars, boosting Musk’s own net worth up to a trillion dollars himself.

This would be a world first as the SpaceX founder, who is already the richest man on the planet, would become the world’s first ever trillionaire.
In a letter to the shareholders, Robyn Denholm, who is the board chair of Tesla, said: “We believe that Elon’s singular vision is vital to navigating this critical inflection point.

“We also recognize the formidable nature of this undertaking and as a result, the importance of having a leader who is not only willing and capable but eager to meet this challenge.”
If Musk wants to receive the cash, he will need to remain as CEO of the company for at least seven years, and will need to stay for a decade if he wants to get the full amount.
During this time, a million robotaxis will need to take to the streets as well as a million Tesla bots.
Musk is the largest shareholder of the company as the mogul has a 13% stake in Tesla, although he has stated that he would like to have more control.

In a recent earnings call, Musk said: “That is a major concern for me, as I’ve mentioned in the past, and I hope that is addressed at the upcoming shareholders meeting.
“I think my control of Tesla should be enough to ensure that it goes in a good direction, but not so much control that I can’t be thrown out if I go crazy.”
In other news, Musk broke his silence on why he didn’t attend a recent White House dinner with the biggest names in the tech industry.

Taking to his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Musk wrote: “I was invited, but unfortunately could not attend. A representative of mine will be there.”
