It looks like Elon Musk has made a crucial mistake after leaking the results of a recent drug test he took by posting the report online.
The billionaire was quick to squash any rumors that he might have brought drugs into the White House after a report by the New York Times included allegations that Musk had used recreational and medicinal drugs while on the campaign trail with President Donald Trump.
People were left in shock when the Tesla boss gave the public a detailed insight into his drug test results, including two separate posts displaying two different tests taken.
With the first one, which was conducted using a urine sample from the tech mogul, Musk posted it on his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, which he captioned with ‘lol’.

Just days later, Musk posted a second testing on his platform, which also showed a negative result.
In the caption, Musk wrote: “The WSJ & New York Times fake “journalists” lied through their teeth about me.
“Now let’s see their drug test results. They will fail.”

One user speculated on X on the reasoning behind his decision to take two drug tests, writing: “His first test came back negative using a urine sample, but some critics claimed it's unreliable for long-term use. So today, Elon did a second test using a hair sample, which detects drug use for months and that too came back negative.”
But setting the record straight, Musk replied: “The hair test was administered by the same company that did the urine test. Hair test has to go to a lab, so takes longer to complete.”
However, it looks like Musk may have made a major error after the second test, which was done using a hair sample, displayed the last four digits of the billionaire’s social security number publicly.
This information, along with his date of birth, name and address can put him at risk of fraud or identity theft by criminals.

Since making the post on Wednesday (June 18), Musk hasn’t commented on the leak or removed the post from his page.
The president was quizzed about the possibility of Musk bringing drugs into the White House earlier this month.
Talking to reporters, Trump replied: “I really don’t know. I don’t think so, I hope not.”

When asked about Musk, Trump said that he’d had a ‘good relationship’ with him prior to their fall out, adding: “I just wish him well. Very well actually.”
