YouTuber Jake Paul threatens legal action against 'pigs' over 'lies' about his boxing wins

He's seemingly had enough of the 'haters'

Jake Paul is no longer taking any nonsense from critics who claim his boxing career is nothing more than a sham.

After years of enduring accusations that his fights are rigged, the YouTube content creator-turned-boxer has made it clear he’s done staying silent.

The 26-year-old has vowed to take legal action against anyone who continues to spread what he calls "lies" about his boxing victories, warning them that he’s coming for them with his legal team in tow.

Since stepping into the ring, Paul has been a controversial figure in the sport, with many questioning the legitimacy of his wins.

Critics have repeatedly called his bouts with former MMA stars like Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren “staged”, while others have speculated that his fights with bigger names such as Tommy Fury and even Mike Tyson were all scripted.

Despite his critics, Paul has kept pushing forward, claiming that his rise in boxing is the real deal. But after his latest win, he’s had enough of the scepticism.

The controversy reignited following Paul’s June 28 win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a former WBC middleweight champion.

Although Paul won the fight by unanimous decision, social media users quickly began claiming that the fight was rigged.

The accusations stemmed from Chavez Jr.'s relatively slow start to the fight, with many noting that he didn’t start showing any real aggression until the final three rounds.

Unsurprisingly, Paul wasn’t having any of it.

In a furious post on X (formerly Twitter), Jake fired back, saying: “After years of letting it slide as just ‘haters being haters’, I have asked my team to vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies about my boxing career. Expect to get served, you pigs.”

The message was a clear warning to his detractors, and it didn’t stop there. Paul also reshared a post from Nakisa Bidarian, the CEO of his promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, who blasted “baseless and irresponsible” claims made by TV personality Piers Morgan about the legitimacy of Paul’s fights.

Bidarian added: “Enough is enough. We will be exploring all options, including legal action, to hold accountable those spreading such deliberate and harmful lies”, reinforcing Paul’s message that they were no longer willing to let the accusations slide.

Paul’s victory over Chavez Jr. could also lead to him being ranked in the WBC Cruiserweight division, a key step in making his highly anticipated fight with Badou Jack a reality. But with his latest legal threat, it’s clear that Jake Paul is now out to protect his name at all costs.
