Robots are already being used to work alongside or in the place of humans.

But what would it be like if an entire building was run by robots?

YouTuber Isaiah Photo went to find out by visiting a robot hotel - and yes, it is as creepy as you're imagining.

How do they interact with guests? Are they better at running a hotel than humans? These are questions Isaiah was determined to find out.

The video takes viewers to Tokyo, Japan where Isaiah experiences the unique atmosphere of the hotel.

Approaching the front desk, he could feel the weirdness already.

'It's slightly alarming to just see two beings that are rather human-like just staring you down as you check in,' he described.

The robots, which Isaiah nicknamed Cindy and Jason to make the experience less eerie, were still undeniably creepy-looking.

'Robots are quite literally everywhere,' Isaiah said during his stay.

'The robot hotel is much different than any other hotel on the planet.'

Owned by Hideo Sawada, the hotel was inspired by his love for robots and hope to 'bring humanity one step closer to making these experiences with robots less of a novelty and more of a reality.'

Having trouble with jet lag and curious about what the robots were up to at late hours, Isaiah had to go down and check.

'Now I get to see what my robot friends are really up to at the creepiest hour of the day,' he said.

The robots were still standing at the desk but completely turned off, which looked a little unsettling.

The YouTuber admitted that while it might not sound scary watching the video, the experience of seeing lifelike robots just standing there in the dark was eerie.

'Even though it was pretty creepy, they're truly just a hunk of metal waiting to be turned on in the morning by a human,' he remarked.

'The robot world is super fun as much as you might not want human interaction while checking into a hotel, it does get a bit jarring not seeing your own kind.'

Viewers agreed on the creepiness of the lifelike robots.

'Those robots definitely talk to eachother when no humans are around,' the first user commented.

'Imagine the robot enters your room to clean it at midnight,' a second user mentioned.

'To be honest I would choose this hotel to stay over. But Cindy and Jason DO look creepy, especially at midnight,' wrote another.
