Elon Musk has revealed that he once lived in a real-life haunted mansion where he’d hear ‘strange noises’ in the ‘creepiest house’ he’s ever lived in.
The Tesla mogul is one of the richest men in the world but even he gets spooked out by a good ghost story.
And it turns out more money really does mean more problems because the $30 million home was inhabited with residents from the other side, according to Musk.

Appearing on the Full Send Podcast, the boss of X, formerly Twitter, shared some scary details about the house where doors would appear to open and close of their own accord.
Musk compared the huge property to the house from The Shining, saying: “I see no actual evidence for ghosts, but that doesn't mean you can't get creeped out late at night.”
He originally bought the house and its 47-acre land back in 2017 for $23 million where he would host some pretty outrageous parties.
“Everyone goes to bed at like 10pm,” Musk joked, explaining that his bashes would annoy his neighbors.
The home had seven bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms and a pool - plenty of space for some paranormal activity.
“The parties are generally very high production value,” the billionaire revealed and he’s not wrong - around five years ago he hosted a The Great Gatsby themed event which definitely fed into the ‘haunted’ vibe of the house.
Musk added that it was during this get-together that he was forced to turn the music off after police were called four times to have the party shut down.
Another time, he hosted a party themed after the video game Castlevania.
However, during his appearance on the podcast, the entrepreneur revealed that it’s been at least three years since he’s held a private party.
This is partly due to the fact that he’s been selling up his extensive property portfolio.
Musk had vowed to part ways with all of his belongings in a bid to fund a colony on Mars and the billionaire has been sticking to his word.
The last home he sold was in San Francisco and he’s made a total of $130 million after getting rid of his homes.
Now, Musk claims to live in a modest three-bedroom house in Texas that is valued at around $45,000.
A far cry from his portfolio of mansions but there is no word yet on whether his new home - which he says is very small - is haunted.
