A man has filed for divorce from his wife after she sent a whopping $94,000 to a male live streamer.

The couple from central China lived frugally, deducting his living expenses and rent before sending the rest of his monthly earnings to his wife.

He said he did this to give his wife of eight years a ‘a sense of security’ as she remained at home taking care of their child.

However, the man was left devastated when he discovered that she had wasted all of the cash, even blowing $94,000 on a tip to a male live streamer.

The wife admitted that she had become obsessed with gifting the streamer money with chat records revealing that she had even asked him to call her ‘baby’ on one occasion.

Local reports say the man is now attempting to recover half of their common property.

Over the last few years, he had given his wife a total of 1.16 million yuan ($163,000), which she would deposit into her bank account.

However, when he recently asked to check the figure in the account she refused before later confessing that there was no money left.

In fact, she had also taken out a loan totaling $11,200 but apart from the money given to the streamer, the wife could not explain what she had done with the rest of the money.

In a local report, the man said: “I have been saving money on food and expenses and offered all my money to her. However, she gave the money to another man. I think she just could not stand loneliness.

“In Zhengzhou, I live in a basic flat costing only 300 yuan, which does not even shelter me from rain or wind. But look at what environment you live in – a comfortable house with a heating system.

“I trusted you so much but what you did is like stabbing me in the back, I do not love you any more.”

Despite saving for his entire life, the family is now in debt with no savings to their names.

Many people have taken to social media to react to the news, which has been viewed over 31 million times online.

One user wrote: “What a tragedy of man. He should divorce her as quickly as possible. She does not understand the hardship of making money.”

And another person added: “What is the point of tipping live-streamers? Those fans are brainwashed.”
