The Albanian prime minister has revealed that an AI minister is apparently ‘pregnant with 83 children’.
Diella is the world’s first minister that has been generated by artificial intelligence and she reportedly about to become a mother.
Edi Rama, the country’s prime minister, shared yesterday (October 26) that the so-called government minister will be giving birth to a whopping 83 kids.
This news was unveiled at the Berlin Global Dialogue conference where Rama went on to detail how the ‘children’ will be AI assistants who will each be assigned to MPs from the party in government.

He said: “Each one will serve as an assistant for them, who will participate in parliamentary sessions and will keep a record of everything that happens and will suggest members of parliament. These children will have the knowledge of their mother.”
These bots will assists the officials with their day-to-day tasks for the next few months.

Rama continued: “For example, if you go for coffee and forget to come back to work, this child will say what was said when you were not in the hall and will say who you should counter-attack.
“If you invite me next time, you will have 83 more screens for the children of Diella.”
So, who actually is Diella? The AI bot was apparently ‘born’ back in January after it was launched onto the government web portal.
This assistant is used to help answer queries from individuals and businesses obtaining state documents.

Diella, which translates to ‘sun’ in Albanian, controversially got a big promotion last month when it was made a minister, with a responsibility of overseeing government contracts with private firms.
This was met with contention as Article 100 of the constitution in Albania states that ever minister must be a natural person.

In a video, Diella said: “I’m not here to replace people, but to help them.”

Despite controversy, the push towards AI integration for the Albanian government doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon as soon 83 more AI assistants will be deployed.
In other AI news, a law was passed in Ohio recently that bans people from marrying an AI program, stating that these algorithms will be treated as ‘non-sentient entities’.
In this bill, AI systems will also not be allowed to work at a company, own a bank account or purchase a home.
According to the Bloomsbury Intelligence and Security Institute, Diella will ‘test’ the boundaries of how far humans can trust an AI minister.
