OpenAI is facing a global outage with ChatGPT, as the artificial intelligence chatbot is currently down around the world. While millions of us turn to ChatGPT every day, a mysterious software issue has stopped it from responding to user queries.
More people than ever are relying on artificial intelligence, with a rise in popularity for the likes of ChatGPT and Elon Musk's 'sassy' Grok.
Downdetector has reported a spike in reports when it comes to ChatGPT, and if you head to ChatGPT.com, asking it anything leads to a blank screen.
At the time of writing, there's no official word from OpenAI about what's caused the issue and when ChatGPT could be back. Either way, this looks like a widespread issue that's not isolated to a specific region.
Responding on social media, one person said: "ChatGPT went down for 20 minutes and suddenly everyone realized 90% of their ‘original ideas’ were just prompts in disguise."
