ChatGPT has made some chilling predictions for 2025 and if they come true, it could lead to a widespread disaster.

The advice of mystics is something that has been sought after since the dawn of time - in fact, evidence shows that fortune telling was being practiced as long ago as 4,000 BCE.

However, while doubts have been cast on the validity of predictions made by famous psychics such as Baba Vanga, people are now turning to other sources.

As technology advances, it seems that people are now able to look to AI to offer some foresight on the future.

ChatGPT launched just two years ago but now seems to be able to make predictions on what might be in store for us in the coming years.

However, it might not always be what we want to hear after the chatbot spoke to UNILAD Tech about what it thinks could happen in the next year.

The artificial intelligence was tasked with predicting what the worst case scenario for our world in 2025 could look like and its response is quite chilling.

Firstly, the AI admitted that it is ‘tough’ to predict the future with any certainty before it shared some key issues that could spiral into disasters in the next 12 months.

These include things like an escalation of the climate crisis, another pandemic on the horizon and heightened conflicts and war.

In the conversation, ChatGPT said: “Climate Crisis Escalation: Increased natural disasters like wildfires, hurricanes, and floods could lead to widespread displacement, food shortages, and significant economic impacts.

“Geopolitical Tensions: Heightened conflicts or wars, particularly involving major powers, could result in global instability, economic downturns, and humanitarian crises.

“Pandemic Resurgence: New infectious diseases or a resurgence of existing ones could overwhelm healthcare systems, leading to social and economic disruptions.”

The AI has also shared a worrying message about the ‘misuse of artificial intelligence’ and how cyberattacks could pose a threat to humanity.

ChatGPT continued: “Technological Risks: The misuse of artificial intelligence or cyberattacks could threaten infrastructure, privacy, and even national security.

“Economic Collapse: A severe global recession or depression could result from a combination of factors, including trade disputes, inflation, and unemployment.

Social Unrest: Widespread dissatisfaction with economic inequality or political systems could lead to protests, riots, and social fragmentation.”

The chatbot concluded by pointing out that these ‘scenarios underscore the importance of proactive measures in addressing these global challenges’.
