Anyone with a PS5 knows gaming with a wireless controller is the best way to do things.

After all, you don't want to get stuck with an annoying wire getting all tangled up.

It's all fun and games - that is, until your DualSense controller runs out of battery mid-play. But luckily, it looks like there are a few quick fixes to ensure you have an uninterrupted gaming experience.

According to the US Sun, the first easy change is setting the controller to automatically switch off when it's not being used.

All you have to do is go into Settings, then System, and select Power Saving, and you've done it.

You can save further battery by making sure your microphone is muted when you're logged in - so it's not constantly using up juice - as well as reducing the intensity of your haptic feedback.

There are two ways to mute your mic - the first is easy, all you have to do is tap the Mute button underneath the PS button on the controller. It will light up orange when it's muted. The second option is going into the Control Center - select the Mic icon there and you'll be muted.

And to reduce the haptic feedback intensity, go into the Control Center, select Accessories and then DualSense Wireless Controller. Tap on Controller Settings, Vibration Intensity and then Trigger Effect Intensity - and you're sorted.

And you'll want to make sure your gaming experience is as seamless as possible, what with all the exciting things coming out on PlayStation this year.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is dropping on PS5 on January 19, bringing a whole new upgrade for existing owners of the game - including new content dubbed The Lost Levels and fun new features.

And fans of The Last of Us franchise will no doubt be keen for more content - particularly as the upcoming online multiplayer version was officially canned by studio Naughty Dog back in December.

It's not the only massive release coming up this month for PS5 - January sees the launch of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Tekken 8, while also giving PS5 gamers early access to the highly anticipated Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
