Private investigator Ray Ranno disclosed that 'about 40%' of his work involves spying on unfaithful spouses.

Whilst some parts of the job are quite routine and mundane, the Connecticut PI has also received some alarming requests, including one man hiring Ranno to have his wife killed.

Whilst it's an absolutely awful thing to be cheated on, it's best to be sure that your loved one is actually cheating before accusations are thrown.

That's where Ranno comes in. In his recent appearance on Locked In with Ian Bick podcast, Ranno shared the tech-savvy gadget that he uses on his operations to catch cheaters red-handed. And it's not all trench coats and sunglasses with a bulky camera.

Although, Ranno has admitted to using that from time to time, for video and photo evidence, but not for his more covert operations.

In busy public places like supermarkets, Ranno uses a fake coffee cup with a high-definition camera hidden inside so that he can tail the suspects like a ninja.

'If I go into a coffee place, or a supermarket wherever I need to be, I just take the lid off turn it on put the cap on and it looks like I'm walking around with a coffee.

'In the meantime, I'm videotaping everything,' he said. Very sneaky indeed!

With adequate videos and pictures, Ranno then delivers the evidence to his client leaving it to them on how to handle it.

Furthermore, the PI also mentioned on the podcast how he makes his stakeouts more fun when he predicts what happens next.

Over the years, Ranno has picked up on behaviour patterns that scream a mistress on the side. For one, 'If a guy's going to pick up his sweetie on the side, he wants a clean car,' the detective described.

'As soon as somebody goes to the car wash I think ‘Ha ha, what's next?’ It’s amazing how they do that.'

However, this only seems to be apparent in men. According to Ranno, women tend to be the ones getting in men's cars, as the 'men always want to drive.'

'It's very rare that I see a guy jump into a female's car.'
