Bargain hunters could get an insane deal on their next iPhone with this.

When it comes to choosing your next phone, Apple puts up some stiff competition with the iPhone. With the tech giant delivering a new iPhone yearly, it can become costly to keep up with the latest release. However, did you know there's a little-known section of the Apple store that can get you hundreds off your next purchase?

With Apple having recently released the iPhone 16, you might be in the market to trade in your old model and possibly get a new handset.

Not just applying to smartphones, Apple has a handy way for you to shave some serious dollars from your tech budget.

For those who insist on buying their iPhone from the Apple Store, you'll want to head to the secret 'refurbished' section.

Apple promises these items are in like-new condition, boasting a new battery, restored handset, and all the accessories you'd get with a new one. Fully tested and coming with a warranty, Apple's refurbished products are perfect for those on a budget.

Apple explains how its Certified Refurbished products work: "You will receive a refurbished device with genuine Apple replacement parts (as needed) that has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected."

"Refurbished iOS devices will come with new battery and outer shell. "Every device will come with all accessories, cables and operating systems."

You get a standard one-year warranty and you can still extend with AppleCare like normal.

Although there aren't any iPhone 16s on the Apple Refurbished site, you can nab an unlocked iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB in Space Black for $1,189. This is a tasty saving of $310 off the RRP, while there's also a listing for a refurbished 15-inch MacBook Air Apple M2 Chip with 8‑Core CPU and 10‑Core GPU that'll save you $270. You can save $50 on a refurbished HomePod, $40 on an Apple Watch, and get $230 off a Rose Gold iPad Air Wi-Fi 256GB.

It looks like there are almost no drawbacks to buying refurbished products from Apple, and while there are other outlets out there that offer second-hand tech, we'd be wary about who you buy from. Considering this is the official Apple retailer and you get a warranty, it might be worth taking a look ahead of your next buy.

The only problem is that the iPhone 14 is currently the most advanced model in the refurbished section. There are plenty of iPhone 15 and even 16 models out there in other shops, but like we said, be careful about where you're shopping. With iPhones being typically expensive, chances are that if it sounds too good to be true, it might be.
