However, one of her latest posts has sparked debate within the motoring community due to her ingenious vehicle cleaning methods involving produce.

On Friday (May 31), @Chequanxiaoqiao uploaded a video that began with her opening the boot of her car to two potatoes wrapped in a plastic bag.

She explained that this popular food staple should be present inside every veteran’s motor.

“90 percent of drivers don’t know that potatoes have these four great uses in cars,” she continued.

After cutting the produce in half, the digital creator smeared the potato piece over her car’s wing mirror.

“When driving on rainy days it is very easy for water droplets to hang on the rearview mirror. Cut a piece of potato and wipe it back and forth on the mirror.

“This was, there will no longer be water droplets hanging on the rearview mirror.”

The second tip was to smush your potato over the front of your car to get rid of rust while the third saw the creative cleaning out her used coffee cup.

To do so, she cut her potato into small pieces and added them to the plastic container before filling it up with water.

After waiting three minutes, she tipped the concoction out and hey presto - the vessel was miraculously clean.

Her final viral tip began with her explaining her car had been ‘running for a long time’.

Due to its heavy usage, a film of oil had formed on both the windshield and side windows.

“No matter how hard I wipe it, I can’t get it clean,” she said.

“We wiped it back and forth with the cross-section of the potato. Rinse with water. The glass will become clean and translucent.”

After watching the clip, which has been viewed 2.6 million times, Instagram users had their say on the hacks in the comments section.

One Instagram user wrote: “Not too sure bout the potato thing ..I'll stick to car wash shampoo and windshield cleaners for now.”

A second commented: “Oh Potato! Good to know that potato too is a life saver along with your smile!”

“Guess I'm putting a potato next to my car keys from now on,” typed another.

A fourth said: “This can’t be real,” while a fifth chimed in saying: “Miss lady I’m not driving with no potato.”

Interestingly, @Chequanxiaoqiao isn’t the only person to recommend having a potato in the car.

John Clark Motor Group explained that the starch in the spud acts as a barrier between the glass and the air, thus helping to prevent your windscreen from fogging up.
